The brief

Engineering a New Build Residential Development.

Completed in 2015, this bespke new-build project involved the delivery of comprehensive structural engneering design for a modern family home. From foundations and drainage to external works and coordination with statutory authorities to support the successful delivery of a high-end modern home.

The challenges

Overcoming Site and Drainage Constrains

The land was purchased by a developer as a challenging former wooden site. Before construction could begin, numerous old trunks and deep-rooted stumps had to be carefully removed to clear and prepare the plot.

A further complications arose during the drainage design. Under updated Thames Water requirements, a standard build-over application could not be used for the new-build development. The existing public drainage and sewer arrangement therefore had to be reconsidered.

The outcome

Creating a Home for the Future.

The completed home features spacious accomodation, modern architectural detailing and thoughtfully designed external spaces, creating and arttractive and functional lving environment. By overcoming complex site constrains and delivering practical engineering solutions throughout the prooject, we helped bring the client's vision to life while ensuring the development met all structural, drainage and regulatory requirements.
The rresult is a striking, bespoke home that demonstrates the value of early engoneering involvement and a collaborative approach to residential development.
