The challenges
Business as Usual. Construction as Planned.
The project was delivered within a fully occupied commercial building, requiring careful planning, detailed sequencing and close coordination with the client and building occupants throughout the construction programme. Maintaining business continuity was a key priority, with works planned to minimise disruption to tenants and their day-to-day operations. The project team carefully managed access restrictions, material deliveries and working hours to ensure activities were carried out safely and efficiently within the live environment. Regular communication with the client and other stakeholders enabled works to progress smoothly while maintaining a professional and safe workplace at all times.
Despite the logistical challenges associated with working in an occupied building, the project was completed successfully, demonstrating our ability to deliver high-quality refurbishment works with minimal impact on building users.
The outcome
From Successful Delivery to Continued Partnership
The project was completed with a refreshed reception and improved office accommodation that enhanced the building's commercial appeal. The quality of delivery supported a smooth handover and stronger market-ready asset. The success of the project led to furher works being awarded on floors 1 and 4. This reflects the confidence built through the team's performance and delivery on the initial refurbishment.
