This recognition marks an important milestone in a journey that has focused on transforming traditional joinery manufacturing through technology, automation and smarter production processes.At the centre of the operation is Joinery Core, the digital system developed to connect the different stages of manufacture, from information and workflow through to machinery and production on the factory floor.For Prime Sash Windows, the aim has never simply been to introduce new machinery. It has been to create a more connected manufacturing environment where technology supports the people using it, improves consistency and gives the business greater control over how products move through production.
The result is a factory that brings together traditional joinery knowledge with modern manufacturing technology.

Being recognised in the Smart Factory category is particularly meaningful because it reflects the wider work that has gone into developing a manufacturing process built around efficiency, visibility, automation and continuous improvement.
It is also a proud moment for the wider Skylon team and everyone involved in the development of Joinery Core and the Prime Sash Windows manufacturing operation.
